Lifetime Achievement Award

Eligibility:

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a CUPE 8920 member who has distinguished themselves through a lifetime of contributions and dedication to the advancement of the union.

The award honours a member who has twenty or more years of experience as an activist and has not previously received an CUPE 8920 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Call for Nominations:

Nominations are due by March 14 at noon.

Any CUPE 8920 member may nominate a CUPE 8920 activist who is in good standing with the local that has distinguished themselves through a lifetime of contributions and dedication to the advancement of the union in either an individual capacity or as a member of a team. Assessment and selection will be carried out by the members of the Recognition/Awards Committee. Recipient(s) will be announced and presented at the Annual General Meeting which is normally held in May of each year.

All decisions by the Awards/Recognition Committee are final. The local is not responsible for incomplete or lost application.

    Helped to pioneer creative unique opportunities that have been adopted across the organization, leading to measurable enhanced membership engagement.

    Has been an outstanding CUPE activist or volunteer, who has helped other members, served as an CUPE ambassador.

    Is perceived by a majority of other members as a role model and an inspiration to others through their work for CUPE.
